Some gelato shops can get pretty quiet during the cold winter, however N2 always seems to attract the crowd – what’s all this hype about nitrogen ice cream?
From a simple test, the gelato doesn’t taste any different to the gelato under other brands, it comes in a medium size cup with one gelato flavour piled up twice the height of the cup. BUT, what other gelato shops don’t offer is the artistic/scientific/weird/quirky/daring flavours that N2 experiment with and share to the public – a friend told me that when it comes to the flavour Salty Caramel he had come across, it was actually SALTY.
From browsing through N2’s website, there is an Instagram photo of their gelato with Kimchi (Korean side dish – fermented and spicy cabbage) in the centre – the thought of that flavour combined with heavenly sweet iced cream was just… not cool.
Despite ‘shocking’ and ‘alarming’ when it comes to some flavours offered at N2, they were best known for their weekly daring quirky products with the sweet touch. Of course, let’s not forget the experience you get at the gelato shop; watching the ‘scientists’ do their magic (true Sci-Fi) in their fabulous lab coats, whipping up gelato one after the other in a production line manner are also part of the package when you visit N2 Extreme Gelato.
By the way, they are open 10 hours a day from 1300 to 2300, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
