The Boatshed Restaurant is located on the banks of Lake Wendouree; its dishes are modern and fresh – offering the diners one of Ballarat’s best at the home of the goldfields. Guess from the name of this restaurant, it was probably a boatshed back in the day and now turned into a warm and bright house providing fine food, wine, coffee and dessert.
I wished that the weather was better because the Boatshed has window seats with a full view of the Lake Wendouree; but it was so cloudy and windy on te day so the colours of view was slightly heart cooling. However, I enjoyed my glass of wine and the warm soup in the restaurant~~ Definitely no complaints for the chicken roast; the smoked salmon crepe was quite an interesting dish, very creamy and light in mouth; and finally my soup – was good, but I’ve had better pumpkin soup (Ortigia‘s homemade soup are the best)!!! Still it is definitely worth a visit and its desserts will be my next target!!
